1987: THE GENESIS

Transelektra launches household insecticides ‘GoodKnight’ and ‘Hit’ and records Rs. 500 million (in sales) in just seven years.

1994: THE BIRTH OF HiCare

Godrej buys Transelektra from Arumugham Mahendran and R. Mohan and renames the entity to Godrej Hi-Care, with A. Mahendran as its Managing Director.

2004: THE YEAR OF FIRSTS

HiCare becomes India’s first brand to provide odourless, safe and high-tech pest control services for the nation.

2009: THE DANISH CONNECTION

ISS Global (Danish MNC) acquires HiCare and in the same year, the B2B segment is added to the B2C portfolio. ISS HiCare also becomes India's second-largest pest control service provider with a presence in 27 cities.

2014: GOING NORTH

In 2014, True North, the leading PE Fund, managing assets of over $2.5 billion, partnered with A Mahendran to acquire HiCare. Under the leadership of A Mahendra as the Managing Director, HiCare has expanded its portfolio and now serves both residential and commercial customers with technical pest control and professional cleaning services.

2019: THE GROWTH CONTINUES

HiCare becomes India's second-largest pest control service provider and India's No. 1 professional home cleaning company.

2020: THE DIGITAL PROWESS

• When India was reeling under mosquito-caused epidemic in 2019 with over 1 lakh cases of Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya, we responded by launching India's first anti-dengue and anti-malaria pest control (targeted service)

• First to introduce wall-traps for mosquitoes using micro-suspension capsule spray on walls
