Essajees Atelier is a global interior design company offering end-to-end services in the realm of luxury interiors.

Started in 2014, Essajees Atelier has completed over 60 interior design projects across the country, with over 200,000 sqft of commercial and residential spaces currently under construction. We have completed projects across 11 cities such as Mumbai, Surat, Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Dubai, Pune, Chennai, Malavli, Nashik etc.In doing so, she has been careful not to develop a 'signature style'. This means that every project is a blank canvas, waiting for new ideas to populate it! In the 11 years since it was launched, Essajees Atelier has managed over 450,000 sq. ft. of construction across 18 cities, is 130+ projects strong, has a team of 55 design experts, and is followed by 670,000+ people on Instagram.

In 2020, Sarah also single-handedly mobilised the Essajees Atelier social media handle to offer an online community for interior designers from across the country. In under a year, this effort has seen multiple groups come to life across India, connecting hundreds of design professionals looking for advice, resources or, sometimes, just a listening ear. The community has seen 12,000 designers apply across 110 cities that have come together only in an endeavour to help each other grow and learn.

Building on more than a decade of luxury interior design excellence in India, in 2024, under the aegis of Essajees Atelier, Sarah launched ‘Jea’, a premium design consultancy in Dubai, in collaboration with Abra.

A member of Forbes India’s prestigious 30-Under-45 club, Sarah has a litany of recognitions to her name. Amongst other accomplishments, she has given talks in her capacity as a TEDx speaker; she’s been named by ET Now as one of India’s ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’, she’s one of Luxebook India’s ‘Top 50 Women in Luxury’ and was named as one of India Today’s ‘Top 10 10 Women Entrepreneurs’ in 2022. Additionally, Sarah and her work have been featured in the country’s top design and décor publications.

Sarah holds degrees in Art History from Duke and Oxford University, a Business Administration diploma from NYU Stern, and Interior Design from Rachna Sansad Mumbai.
