The enterprise in the name of F.Hrangvela began at Khatla in the name of F.Hrangvela Hardware store. It started its steel fabrication venture in 1987 and has been quite lucrative since then.
In 1996, Mr F.Hrangvela started ramification of his various business enterprises to his decedents. The enterprise in the name of F.Hrangvela Industry was start-up under the proprietorship of David Lalmuanpuia Fanai, one of his grandsons. This industry started with only 4 employees. The industry imported roof truss and began its operations. Given the dire need of Mizoram in the field of this venture, it (The Industry) thought it could also produce the raw materials instead of importing them. Taking advice from various technicians and engineers, it began manufacturing Roof Truss with its own technical know-how and initiatives. Today, F.Hraangvela Industry has constructed more than 100 churches, community halls and private houses across various parts of the state of Mizoram.
With the knowledge that Mizoram has relatively lower population than other states, The Industry thought it is risky to invest only in one venture. It began manufacturing aluminium window sills and appurtenances and became one of the first three industries in this field. Back then, there were no such notable industries since these materials (Aluminium Frames) were of minimal demand in Mizoram. But, with the ever developing technologies, the industry reluctantly started investing in this field with limited funds at its disposal. The pay-off has been dear since these materials have been widely used across Mizoram today.
