About The Group
The Promoters of M/s Tripura Ispat Known as the “Lohia Group” have been the most reputed business houses in the North Eastern Region (NER). The group commands consistent growth and performance over the last few decades.  Lohia Group of industries has a diversified interest in the North East region (NER). The group is present in a wide array of building materials industry which includes Cement, GP/ GC Sheets, TMT bars, wire rods, black wire, Angle, Channels and other MS sections, controlling a substantial portion of the North East market of construction Steel. The Lohia Group has presence in the entire nook and corner of the region and many hardware stores run on goods procured from the group exclusively. Lohia group also has interest in education and has founded Delhi Public School at Guwahati.The Group had the vision of the requirement of departmental stores in the modern society and set up Sohum Shoppe which is considered to be the largest departmental chain stores in North East. The group is also part of Meghalaya Cements Limited, which markets its cement under the name of Topcem. Topcem, is a well established brand of the region and commands a substantial portion of market share in the north-east cement industry. The Lohia group has also successfully run ventures outside the North East.
About TRIPURA ISPAT
TRIPURA ISPAT is an ISO 9001:2008 Company promoted by the LOHIA GROUP. The factory is located at Industrial Growth Centre, Bodhjungnagar, Agartala, Tripura (West). This is the only integrated Rolling Mills in this region. The Company has been granted the permission to mark ISI certification on its products by BIS and thus is a testimony of quality products. The company enjoys a good reputation in the market for its quality products and fair trade practices. The firm has set up the unit to manufacture Mild Steel (MS) ingots and Thermo Mechanically Treated (TMT) rods/bars. Since inception of our Company, we have made efforts to place ourself in a competitive position in the industry by proactively responding to our customers' needs. As a result of these initiatives, we started to manufacture Reinforcement Bars under the brand “MEGA TURBO TMT”, ensuring substantial saving in steel consumption and giving the Indian Construction Industry a much needed impetus. Now, going forward from Macrh ‘2011 we have taken the manufacturing franchise of Kamdhenu TMT Bars.
